Smart Film & Smart Glass Warranty
Smart View / Smart View Film Solutions ("Smart View," "we," "us") stands behind every Smart Film and switchable smart glass product we supply and install. This warranty explains what we cover, what we don't, and how to make a claim.
Warranty period
Smart View warrants the Smart Film for one (1) year from:
- the date of delivery — for product-only purchases, or
- the date of installation is completed — for full-service installations.
What is covered
- Proper functioning of the Smart Film during normal use
- Consistent switching performance between the clear and opaque states
- Integrity of the lamination and film structure under normal operating conditions
- Workmanship of Smart View's installation — only when Smart View performed the installation
What is not covered
a. Damage from misuse, accident, or neglect b. Alterations or modifications made by anyone other than a Smart View certified installer c. Installation performed by a third party (the product warranty applies only if the installation was done correctly) d. Use of sealants, chemicals, or cleaners not approved by Smart View e. Damage from power surges, or use of unapproved transformers or power supplies f. Electrical work or wiring that does not meet Smart View's specifications g. Normal wear, minor color variation, or reflection characteristics (see Haze Disclosure) h. Acts of nature, third-party actions, and other events outside Smart View's control
Labor
Labor is not covered for removal, re-installation, access equipment (scaffolding, lifts), or travel — unless Smart View performed the original installation and the failure occurred within the warranty period.
