These terms govern your use of smartviewsmartglass.com and your dealings with Smart View Smart Glass / Smart View Film Solutions ("Smart View," "we," "us"). By using this website or requesting our services, you agree to them.
Quotes and estimates
- Written quotes are valid for 30 days from the date issued, unless the quote states otherwise. Material costs change, so expired quotes may be re-priced.
- Preliminary estimates are not final pricing. Estimates prepared from photos, customer-supplied measurements, or phone descriptions are good-faith approximations. Final pricing requires a site survey (or, for material-only orders, verified measurements and glass specifications supplied by you).
- For material-only orders, you are responsible for the accuracy of the dimensions and glass specifications you provide. Panels are custom-fabricated to your measurements and cannot be resized after cutting.
Scheduling and site conditions
Installation dates are scheduled in good faith and may shift due to site access, building management requirements, weather, or material logistics. Quoted installation pricing assumes the site conditions observed during the survey; significant undisclosed changes (restricted access, electrical issues, glass replacement discovered on site) may require a revised quote before work continues.
Warranties
Smart film carries a one (1) year warranty from delivery and installation, covering normal functioning, switching performance (hue, color, opacity), and lamination integrity. Full coverage, exclusions, and claim procedure are defined in your written contract for each project. No warranty is created by this website, and verbal statements do not modify written warranty terms. Warranty coverage requires that the system be operated and maintained per the guidance we provide at handoff, and excludes damage from misuse, unauthorized modification, glass breakage from external causes, or electrical work performed by others after installation.

We work to keep it accurate and current, but it does not constitute a binding offer, engineering advice, or a guarantee of suitability for your specific project. Product performance depends on glass type, site conditions, and installation specifics, which is why every project is quoted individually.

Payments
Payment terms, deposits, and schedules are set out in your written contract or invoice. Our standard structure: a down payment of 10% or $1,000 (whichever is less) on signing; a progress payment bringing the total to 50% when custom material fabrication begins; and the final 50% on project completion. Because every panel is custom-made to your measurements, orders cannot be canceled once production has begun, and custom film orders are final.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Smart View's liability for any claim arising out of the use of this website or our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service or product giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under California consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute arising from these terms or our services will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California, and you consent to that venue.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version posted on this page, with its effective date, is the version in force.
